Overall this album has a strong hold on me.

This work is evocative and haunting yet soft in very intentional ways. Each piece of each second of each song is melted together with purpose, layered carefully. I felt myself remain present throughout the entire 22 minutes when I first listened, and coming back for more to further dissect the feelings that arose.  It is a beautiful mix of dream pop, art pop with shocking waves of shoegaze that creep in when you don’t expect them to.

Here’s a brief track to track impression.

  1. Hasta el anocher- I was a bit surprised by the slow start to this album. It was very gentle, sprinkled with synths.
  2. Sensibilidad dormida- This felt like progression. More guitar. More drums. Some nice fuzz overdrive. Fleshes out in a more shoegaze direction. Really digging it.
  3. Recuerdo de los Dias- Impressed by what appeared to me as a  synth drum machine combo. Fades into guitar overlay. Drum machine to live drums I fucking love that transition. Drum machine integrates into live drums at points. Living for the shreds at 2:14. The bridge expands into floaty synth + guitar moment. Outro feels like a convo between synth and guitar. Very cool.
  4. Latido-spoken word/ synth interlude. Feels transcendental.
  5. Una flora sin interior- Was there almost a little slide guitar moment? Okay siiiiiiick shreds fuck yes. A lot of softness throughout this album and this song feels like the pay off I was waiting for in Hasta el anocher.
  6. Ve hacia la ventana- dissonant in a very poignant way. Wooooow more shreds okay fuck yes. Little synth sprinkled in. Crunchy. Pattering of synth that melts over the vocals.
  7. El mar me veía-The guitar looming felt like heavy footsteps. Synth pad expands across its footpath. Fuses into soft yet prominent. Spoken word floats over piercing vocals. Definitely more of an art pop feel. Do I hear a string section? Some sick distortion that echos vocals. This track feels like a proper farewell.

Honestly I give it a 9/10

Favourite song is Una Flor Sin Interior. Some moments could have been a little edgier but I understand what they were trying to do.

I strongly urge you to listen to this album and would love to hear your thoughts!
